Kate's Story

Kate was a truly unique soul vibrant, compassionate, and full of life. From a young age, she stood out not just for her individuality, but for the joy she found in helping others whether it was children or adults, strangers or friends. Life wasn’t always easy for Kate. She faced doubts from those who questioned her ability to live independently from her parents, and she often felt misunderstood for the beautiful uniqueness that made her who she was. But if you knew Kate, you knew that nothing could dim her spirit. She never let challenges define her. Instead, she lived boldly, chasing her dreams with unwavering determination. Kate followed her passion into the culinary arts, earning her certificate and pouring love into every dish she prepared. She worked in several restaurants, where she was most in her element serving others and watching their faces light up with each bite. But her heart had more to give. In time, Kate began talking more and more about children in need. She started volunteering at local daycares, driven by a pure desire to nurture and uplift young lives. Eventually, she landed what she called her “perfect job” at a daycare in Summit, New Jersey. She spoke of her daycare kids as if they were her very own, each child a part of her heart. It was there that Kate discovered her true calling. On May 10th, 2017, Kate passed away suddenly in her parents' home. Though her physical presence is gone, her spirit continues to inspire all who knew her. If Kate were here today, she would have one wish: for everyone to be given a fair chance in life. She would urge us all to live to our fullest potential, to help as many people as we can, and above all to love life deeply and completely.

Kate would say, “Look at the world with your whole heart, and don’t judge.”

And so, Kate’s Community Care vows to carry on her legacy with open hearts, open minds, and a mission to serve. In her honor, we dedicate ourselves to creating a world where compassion leads, uniqueness is celebrated, and everyone is given the chance to shine.
